I started a Feature Requests thread over a year ago at The Green Button here: http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/191773.aspx Since that time the thread has grown to be quite long, as has the request list. Recently several Microsoft employees have become more active on that thread, and people are asking about polling options again.

Microsoft is planning on implementing a feature request section to The Green Button, but that is going to be several months away (they are busy working on migrating the servers first).

Because of this, I have decided to host a more generalized list of these feature requests here, and let people rate the features that they most want to see in Media Center. The most popular features will automatically move up the list. Please rate the features as you see fit. You may also click on the title of any feature and discuss that feature in more detail.

Quick Tip

Use the channel +/- buttons on the remote to browse the guide a page at a time.

In the Guide, press Skip/Replay on the remote to skip forward/back 12 hours at a time.

Almost any menu strip can be hidden with a simple registry tweak. Click here for details.

With an album, video, or recorded show highlighted, simply hit "Play" on the remote to start it playing immediately - faster than pressing "OK" and then selecting "Play" on the menu.

With a picture on screen, press "Info" (or "More") on the remote and select "Rotate" to rotate it.

In the picture library, highlight the folder or tag you want, then press "Play" on the remote to start a slideshow.

Pressing "OK" on the remote while watching Live TV will go to the previous channel.

While in the guide press the Record button on the remote twice to do a series recording.

Press "Clear" on the remote to delete the media that is currently highlighted (works for Recorded TV, Videos, Music, and Pictures).

In the Guide, press FF/REW on the remote to skip forward/back 3 hours at a time.
